Mission Statement
I.C.E. AUTO CLUB is for those of us who love the sound and feel of an internal combustion engine roaring to life when it’s fired up and the thrill we get as we step on the gas. For us, no four-wheeled electrical appliance will ever do. We don't see cars as a necessary evil to get us to our destination. To us, the trip and the machine that gets us there is just as important and just as much fun as the destination. We love being behind the wheel of our favorite cars and don’t want a car driving us even if we did trust so-called self-driving software.
Our independent honest reviews of cars, products, services and dealers are based on hours of research and testing as well as member experiences, and we leverage our community's numbers to provide members with the best terms and value from the partners we link to. We may earn a fee when you click on a link to some of the products, dealers or services on the site, but we only publish and recommend the best-reviewed products, best providers, best dealers, and best value - anything that doesn't meet our standards will not appear on our website. We value our members' input on their experiences with any provider we link to and leverage the collective power of the community not only to obtain favorable pricing and terms, but we also encourage members to let us know of any problems or issues they encounter with any provider we link to so we can contact the provider and attempt to resolve the issue favorably or remove the provider from the website.
Standard membership is 100% free and we also provide a forum for members to post free classified ads, letters to the editor, photos, and videos, and we keep you up to date on our favorite events, including our own, milder version of The Cannonball Run – a 2,200-mile adventure through some of the most beautiful roads and fastest highways in Europe in our favorite cars.
We're purists who love cars, but we care about the environment and being good stewards of God's green Earth just as much as anyone else, including the sensible adoption of new technologies including EVs, and particularly Hybrids, which we think are a better approach. However, we don’t believe the current course governments have set to electrify passenger cars is wise for political, economic, ethical, and environmental reasons and lobby for the enactment of responsible policies that are not only rational and coherent but also fair to the vulnerable communities exploited by unscrupulous actors in the "Clean Energy" industry, which we also report on.
